Alba holds 2nd edition of its Sports Festival
In collaboration with the International Sports Academies Federation (ISAF), Aluminium Bahrain B.S.C. (Alba) is organising the 2nd edition of its Sports Festival from 08 to 13 February 2024, at the Alba Club, Riffa.
The first 3 days of the Festival, from 08 to 10 February, witnessed the participation of around 2,000 players and 103 sports academies and amateur clubs in the Kingdom of Bahrain as well as neighbouring countries. It was attended by Alba’s Chief Executive Officer, Ali Al Baqali, ISAF Chairman, MP Ahmed Al Salloom, Bahrain Tennis Federation President, Shaikh Abdulaziz bin Mubarak Al Khalifa, members of the Council of Representatives, as well as officials from various sports federations and academies in the Kingdom.
The Festival featured competitions in 16 different games, including Bodybuilding, Tennis, Basketball, Bowling, Power Lifting, Cricket, Darts, Football, Squash, Padel, Pool/Billiard, Snooker, Swimming, Walkathon and Martial Arts, and the winners were awarded by Alba’s CEO along with other eminent guests.
The Alba Sports Festival will also feature a 2-day (12 and 13 February) special event of competitions for people of determination groups, where they will compete and demonstrate their excellence in several sports.
Alba Sports Festival, aligned with Bahrain Sports Day, celebrated the Company's commitment to empowering young Bahraini athletes and fostering a passion for an active lifestyle within the Kingdom's youth.
