Alba’s commitment to Bahrain’s Objectives of Net Zero Emissions by 2060 highlighted at International Aluminium 2022 Conference
Aluminium Bahrain B.S.C. (Alba)’s Chief Executive Officer Ali Al Baqali is leading the Company’s delegation at the ‘International Aluminium 2022’ Conference by Fastmarkets taking place from 13-15 September 2022 at the InterContinental Barcelona, Spain.
Al Baqali participated as a key speaker alongside other industry leaders in the Executive Panel Discussion on 14 September, where he highlighted the various initiatives under Alba’s ESG Roadmap to support Bahrain’s Objectives to reach Net Zero Emissions by 2060 which include the addition of Block 4 to Power Station 5 that will contribute to reducing the Company’s overall GHG emissions. The Panel also addressed shifting market dynamics, regional outlooks for the industry, as well as strategic considerations of investment in a low-carbon world.
Alba’s Delegation at the event comprised of Chief Supply Officer Waleed Tamimi, Director Marketing Boris Santosi along with officials from Alba’s Sales Office in Zurich, Switzerland.
