Alba Strengthens Local Talent Development with Appointment of Ahmed Mazen Matar as New Manager Training

Aluminium Bahrain B.S.C. (Alba), the world’s largest aluminium smelter on one site, is pleased to announce the appointment of Ahmed Mazen Matar, a Bahraini national, as its new Manager Training effective 30 October 2025. In this pivotal role, Ahmed Matar will oversee the design and implementation of training programmes across Alba’s operations, ensuring alignment with industry best practices and the Company’s long-term vision.

Commenting on the appointment, Alba’s Chief Executive Officer, Ali Al Baqali, stated:

Having previously served in leadership positions at well-known organisations in Bahrain, Ahmed Matar brings over 10 years of experience in training and development. He holds a BA in Management and Marketing from Ahlia University, Bahrain, and has furthered his education through international programmes at the University of Houston and Cardiff University.
