Alba Signs MoU with Metallurgical Industries Holding Co. During the Official Visit to Egypt Led by HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister
In the presence of HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister and as part of his official visit to the Arab Republic of Egypt, Aluminium Bahrain B.S.C. (Alba) signed a non-binding Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Metallurgical Industries Holding Co on 03 September 2025.
The MoU sets the framework for exploring strategic collaboration opportunities to potentially develop an alumina refinery in Egypt, with potential for offtake agreements and equity participation.
The MoU was signed by His Excellency Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa the Minister of Finance and National Economy, Chairman of Mumtalakat Holding Company BSC ©️, and Mr. Mohammed Al Sadawi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Metallurgical Industries Holding Co.
