Alba Hosts Summer Camp for Employees’ Children in Collaboration with INJAZ Bahrain
Aluminium Bahrain B.S.C. (Alba), the world’s largest aluminium smelters on one site, organised a vibrant five-day summer camp for its employees’ children in collaboration with INJAZ Bahrain, from 27 to 31 July 2025 at the Alba Club. This initiative, a cornerstone of Alba’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) strategy, reflects the Company’s commitment to fostering a culture of learning, leadership, and innovation among Bahraini youth.
Targeting students aged 14 to 17, the camp aimed to equip them with essential life and career skills through a dynamic learning experience. Delivered by Alba employee volunteers, the programme featured activities such as Job Shadowing Opportunities, Financial Literacy Workshops, Toastmasters and Public Speaking Training, Field Trips, and Innovation Camp.
INJAZ Bahrain’s Chairperson Her Highness Shaikha Hessa bint Khalifa Al Khalifa commented: “We are proud to partner with Alba to deliver an engaging and educational summer experience. This collaboration embodies our shared vision to empower youth with the skills, knowledge, and confidence they need to thrive in the future workforce.”
A highlight of the week was a special session with Alba’s Chief Executive Officer Ali Al Baqali who engaged directly with the participants and shared inspiring stories from his journey at Alba, offering them practical advice on building a successful career. Commenting on this occasion, Al Baqali stated: “This initiative is a testament to Alba’s belief in the power of youth. By investing in their development today, we’re cultivating the leaders of tomorrow. A special thanks goes to our employee volunteers for shaping this impactful experience and demonstrating the very essence of Alba’s commitment to the community.”
All participants were awarded certificates of completion recognising their engagement in the five-day programme.
