Aluminium Bahrain B.S.C. (Alba) marked the Kingdom of Bahrain’s 48th National Day and 20th Anniversary of His Majesty the King’s accession to the throne with celebrations that was held over the Bahrain National Day holidays of 16-17 December across the smelter.
Alba’s Acting Chief Executive Officer Ali Al Baqali said:
“2019 was the year of many firsts for Alba. From being graced by His Majesty King Hamad Bin Isa Al Khalifa the King of the Kingdom of Bahrain for the inauguration of Line 6 to becoming the world’s largest smelter ex-China and crossing the 10 million working-hours without Lost Time Injury for the first time in its history, Alba has truly had a successful year. Bahrain, too, has achieved success across many fronts this year, with the most recent being the never-before win at the Gulf Cup 2019. Our heartiest congratulations to the Bahrain National Football Team.
We are confident that both Bahrain and Alba will continue to grow and win many more accolades in the years to come thanks to the vision and support of the Leadership of Bahrain as well as the continuous support of the Government of Bahrain. On this joyous occasion, Alba would like to wish its employees, the community and the people of Bahrain a very Happy National Day.”
