Aluminium Bahrain B.S.C. (Alba) is pleased to announce that it was the proud recipient of the Gold Medal Award 2019 by the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) in recognition of its outstanding practices to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.
The Gold Medal Award was received by Alba’s Safety, Health & Environment Manager, Nezar Hameed, during the internationally-renowned RoSPA Health and Safety Awards ceremony held at ExCeL, London on Tuesday 18 June 2019.
On this occasion, Alba’s Chief Executive Officer, Tim Murray, said:
“We are honoured to receive this prestigious accolade, for the sixth year in a row, as it underlines our Extreme Ownership on the best Safety standards over the years.
We look forward to keep the Safety momentum as we are on course for Alba’s transformation to be the largest smelter in the world with the full ramp-up of its Line 6 Expansion Project by 31 July 2019.”
The RoSPA Awards scheme recognises organisations’ achievement in Health and Safety management systems around the world, including practices such as leadership and workforce involvement. Headline sponsor of the RoSPA Awards 2019 is NEBOSH – the National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health – for the 14th consecutive year.
