Alba’s corporate social responsibility initiatives cover a wide range of activities in charity, sports, environment and culture. We remain vigilant in unleashing different ways to bring value to the communities in which we operate. We are determined to play a transformative role that would serve to benefit our customers, employees, and the community.

We firmly believe that, in addition to creating economic value through our business activities, we are duty bound to play an active role towards the overall improvement of society as a responsible corporate citizen. We continue to provide considerable financial and practical support to the local community in Bahrain.

We actively encourage young Bahrainis to aspire to sporting excellence and encourage athletes with special needs to participate in sporting events. Examples of these initiatives include our sponsorship of the World Juniors Table Tennis Federation, the Alba Horse Jumping Championship in association with the Bahrain Royal Equestrian and Endurance Federation, the Family Olympics Carnival in collaboration with the Bahrain Special Olympics Team, Nasser 5 Championship, fourth King Hamad Golf Championship etc.

The Alba Community Services Team involves the individual participation of our employees in charitable, community and national fund-raising activities. These include visits to homes for the elderly in Isa Town and Muharraq and the Children’s Ward at Salmaniya Medical Complex, to distribute gifts on festive occasions such as Eid.

When it comes to preserving the environment, we continue to make a difference with substantial projects and campaigns. Our recent initiative in the redevelopment of Malkiya beach is widely seen as one of the most effective examples of social partnership between industry and governmental bodies.
