Aluminium Bahrain (Alba)'s Chief Executive, Laurent Schmitt announced that Alba's Public Relations Manager, Dr. Khalid Jassim Bomtaia will be leaving Alba on Thursday, January 28, 2010.

Dr. Bomtaia, who joined Alba in November 2005, took the decision to leave Alba for personal reasons.
Commenting on Dr. Bomtaia's decision, Alba Chief Executive, Mr. Schmitt commented:

"Dr. Bomtaia played a key role in promoting Alba's image locally, regionally and internationally, and we appreciate his efforts in bolstering the company's public relations efforts. We wish him all the best in the future.

I appreciate his work in strengthening the Public Relations Department, and raising the company's profile both internally and externally."

Dr. Bomtaia expressed his gratitude for being given the opportunity to serve the company, and support the Alba Chairman, the Chief Executive and the Alba community in the various responsibilities he was given. He remarked that he truly enjoyed his time with Alba, and is confident that the company will continue to be a source of pride for Bahrain and remain a leading contributor to the economy.

Alba's Human Resources Manager, Abdulrahman Janahi will be taking over the Public Relations Department as Acting Manager till further notice.
